The Russian newspaper Championat reported that a 25-year-old Swede representing HK Sochi last season wants new landscapes.
Strömwall is said to be demanding a harder salary as well as a transfer to a better team. Due to the current financial situation of the club, Sochi cannot afford to pay Strömwall the sums offered by KHL’s major clubs.
Strömwall is also said to be followed by NHL teams. However, the move of the Swede behind the crab is unlikely, as the season in Europe is expected to start much earlier than in North America.
Championatin according to Sotshi, tried to trade Strömwall into the ranks of KHL’s grand club Avangard Omsk, but the parties could not agree on the details of the transfer.
