With these prospects in the F1 season, the third to last World Championship race awaits its turn from 9-11. October at the Nürburgring in Germany.

Four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel reminds Autosport at this point that the Nürburgring is not called the “German Siberia”.

According to German driver Vettel, the F1 series threatens to face a really icy surprise at the Eifel GP in the worst case. The average temperature in the area will fluctuate around ten degrees in October.

– We can expect all kinds of weather there. If we’re lucky, the temperature might be around 20 degrees, but it could also drop to near zero. It will definitely be challenging. The region is rightly called “German Siberia”.
