Räikkönen will have the opportunity to make history in this regard as early as next Sunday at the Silverstone track in the fifth race of the season in England.

According to the Lights Out F1 blog, Räikkönen is only 31 laps behind the record in the name of Michael Schumacher.

Seven-time world champion Schumacher drove 16,825 GP laps in his career.

There will be 52 laps in next race next Sunday.
