Patrik Laine is likely to be sidelined from the lineup when the Winnipeg Jets face next night for the fourth time in the Calgary Flames NHL qualifier series.

The Jets announce on Twitter that Laine was unable to attend the team’s morning ice on Thursday, so presumably the goal cannon will be on the sidelines for tonight’s match as well.

Laine was injured in the opening series of the match series and has not played since.

Jets ’morning ice was also missing from No. 1 Mark Scheifele and Mason Appleton.

The Flames lead the match with 2-1 victories and are no longer a win away from the standings. Thus, the Jets may go on summer vacation as early as next night’s fight.
