The second draw of this year’s NHL Draft will take place next Monday. The NHL announced the matter on Thursday.

In the second stage of the draw, it becomes clear which club will receive the first booking turn. In addition, clubs that reserve 9-15 will survive the draw.

The first part of the raffle ended in a giant surprise when none of the clubs that ended their season won first place, even though they had the highest probability of winning it.

The first booking round will be awarded to one of the eight clubs that will be knocked out in the ongoing NHL qualifying round. Currently, only one of the eight clubs is known, which is the New York Rangers. Rangers, represented by Kaapo Kako, lost in the qualifying round to Carolina Hurricanes directly in three matches.

Also fighting for the first booking round are the match pairs Edmonton Oilers-Chicago Blackhawks, Pittsburgh Penguins-Montreal Canadiens, Nashville Predators-Arizona Coyotes, Vancouver Canucks-Minnesota Wild, New York Islanders-Florida Panthers, Calgary Flames-Winnipeg Jets and Toronto Maple Leaf.

The No. 1 turn is exceptionally desired this year, as the first booking club will be able to grab the super-promise of Alexis Lafrenier, who is expected to be a tough NHL star in the future.

The NHL Draft will be held in October.
