Miika Juntusen successful his debut as KPV’s head coach (4-0 victory from the SJK Academy) took the lead in Ykkönen’s Wednesday round, but the round as a whole offered a lot of talk. Eyebrows were certainly raised, for example, by Jaro’s rude 6-1 crush victory over VPS in the Ostrobothnian derby.

VPS was still slightly ahead of Jaro in the league table before Wednesday, but now it got a ride in Pietarsaari properly. Jaron’s six goals were distributed to five different players. 20-year-old Severi Kähkönen already scored their fifth goal of the season and rose to the top spot in the goal exchange.

Two goals were scored only by the American Wilterlynd Inalien. The first 4-0 goal for Inalien, scored by the scorer, was just as great as the one below. The number one Twitter account the clip also shows. The first touch was absolutely fantastic.

– We were clearly not ready for the match, and that’s why it looked like this. Jaro won the first and second balls, were one step ahead all the time, and they surprised not only me but maybe also the players, VPS head coach Christian Sund stated after the match according to the match report on the Vepsu website.

The great drama was experienced in the Kymenlaakso derby played in Kotka, which was admired by up to 1,871 spectators on site – the new record audience of the Ykkönen season. The away team led the game twice Nathael Ishiin and Jari Hasselin with paints, but severely sunk David Ramadingaye and Antti Mäkijärvi brought the hosts to the levels.

The thriller solved in the fourth minute after KTP got a corner kick. The Spanish defender defended to the highest Ruxi, who was allowed to air Derby’s winning goal. With MYPA paint Tomas Turunen played a strong match, and kept his team well involved in the game. MYPA has scored just one point out of their five games and is second to last in the series.

KTP continues in second place in the series and catches the top of the series with AC Oulu’s lead by two points. AC Oulu missed the 1-1 draw in Kajaani on Wednesday, and now leads the series by five points. The loss of points was Oulu’s first, as it had won all six previous matches. AC Oulu and KTP will face each other in the top match of the series at Raatin Stadium next Saturday.

Two interesting matches will be played on Thursday in Ykkönen as well. MuSa and the EIF, which are the fifth and fourth in the series, will meet in Pori. On Wednesday, MuSa announced a two-year contract with Lait Defender Matias Sallilan with. Sallila was one of MuSa’s creditors last season, until an injury in August forced her on long sick leave. Now Sallila has recovered from the game.

Sallila’s return comes in a good and necessary seam, as the top promising boys ’national team player Joonas Lakkamäen the season is over. The kidney of an 18-year-old right wing defender was torn apart in Sunday’s MP match.

MuSa is coached by a second coach in the match Juha Luoma, as head coach Ville Ulanen performs a UEFA A license and is in this week’s mandatory Owl Tournament. In the match between MuSa and EIF, Ykkönen’s best goal kits will also meet. The goal statistics for the series are led by the EIF, which scored five goals Ayabulela Konqobe, who was chosen as the Ykkönen July player on Wednesday. Shared second are MuSa’s John Frederiksen and the EIF Darren Smith.
