Arsenal is close to a deal Willian with. The 32-year-old brass pier contract with Chelsea expires on Sunday after the club’s Champions League matches.
BBCAccording to the company, the agreement has not yet been confirmed, but Willian is likely to join the local competitor. Last summer, a national teammate moved from Chelsea to Arsenal David Luiz.
Chelsea has offered Willian a follow-up contract, but is unwilling to give the player the extra three years requested. Arsenal, on the other hand, is responding to the Brazilian’s wishes.
Willian, who missed the FA Cup injury, is not in Chelsea’s possession in Saturday’s Champions League quarter-final against Bayern Munich. The Blues lost the opening section in March at home with clear 0-3 numbers.
Willian moved to Chelsea in the summer of 2013 from the ranks of Anzhi Makhachkala. The Brazilian has won the Premier League twice and once the Europa League.
