Australia’s Jason Day and U.S. Brendon Todd explored San Francisco’s golf courses most prominently after this year’s first men’s golf value tournament, the PGA Championship, kicked off the U.S. West Coast without an audience.

Day and Todd cleared the day with 65 strokes (5 under a pair).

“I feel like my last three weeks have also carried this week,” said Day, who cleared the day without bogey punches.

The top two behind the beat is a bundle of nine players with four value tournament champions. Included are Brooks Koepka of the United States, Martin Kaymer of Germany, Zach Johnson of the United States and Justin Rose of the United Kingdom, who won the PGA Championship in the last two years.

Also among them is Xander Schauffele, who is taking his first major victory.

With the championship, Koepka would become the first man in almost a century to win the same value tournament for three consecutive years.
