The second free practice of Formula One ended Friday ahead of schedule.

Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel’s engine broke down and the car spilled so much oil on the track that the drills could no longer be continued.

Ferrari’s day was a disaster. Sebastian Vettel was only 14th in practice and was just over a second and a half ahead of Mercedes Lewis Hamilton. It is the formula number one for eternity.

Charles Leclerc did a little better. He was seventh, but he also missed the lead for more than 1.2 seconds.

The other drills were once again on the Mercedes screen. Lewis Hamilton was the fastest and Valtteri Bottas second. The Finn was left with his teammate for 0.176 seconds.

Renault’s Daniel Ricciardo was third fastest. He missed the tip by 0.815 seconds.

Alfa Romeo’s Kimi Räikkönen’s pace was lost again. Räikkönen was 17th. The Finn was almost two seconds behind.
