New coronavirus infections have been diagnosed in the Helsinki and Uusimaa hospital districts. One of the infected has been in the premises of a kindergarten in Espoo, the city of Espoo says in a press release.

Another sick person has worked for a care company that provides home care services to Espoo. According to the release, the cases are not related.

The sick person has been placed in isolation and about 50 people exposed to the coronavirus in the nursery have been placed in home quarantine. Among the quarantined are children and staff.

The City of Espoo says that it has been in personal contact with the parents of the exposed children. Other parents of unexposed children who have taken part in the activities of the kindergarten will be informed through the kindergarten. The name of the daycare center will not be published for reasons of privacy.

A sick person in a care company providing home care services has been placed in isolation and employees of the company who have been exposed to the coronavirus have been placed in a home quarantine.

Customer services will be reorganized. According to a report by the Infectious Diseases Unit, customers have not been exposed to the coronavirus, but their situation is being monitored particularly closely for safety, the release says.
