The Milwaukee Bucks will start in the NBA League playoffs from number one in the Eastern Conference. The matter was confirmed when Milwaukee beat the Miami Heat 130-116 on Thursday.
– The title of the Eastern Conference is a tribute to our players and what they have done every night. I’m really proud of them, but we still have much work to do, Milwaukee head coach Mike Budenholzer said at a press conference.
Miami, who played without Jimmy Butler and Goran Dragic, led by 23 points in the second quarter. Milwaukee then put a bigger gear in the eye and, with the power of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton, eventually won a clear victory.
Antetekounmpo caught 33 points and 12 rebounds. Middleton also bagged 33 points.
Milwaukee will be the pre-favorite of the Eastern playoffs. The worst resistance comes from perhaps a little surprising.
– Toronto is a good team, Miami is a good team, Boston is a good team, Philadelphia is a good team and Indiana has played great. They are all challenges. We ourselves seem to be our biggest challenge. This is about us, Giannis spun.
The NBA playoffs will kick off around mid-August.
