The list of “Europe’s most wanted criminals”, maintained by the European Police Office, includes a booth with a promise of up to € 80,000 for a tip to catch.

These are two men and one woman who were believed to have once belonged to the West German far-left terrorist organization RAF (Red Army Corps).

However, the actual search warrant is not related to a terrorist organization that has ceased operations, but to suspected robberies committed by the troika between 1999 and 2016.

The original search warrant has been issued by German police, according to which Ernst-Volker Staub in his sixties, Burkhard Garweg in his fifties and Daniela Klette in his sixties are being searched in connection with about ten robberies in Germany.

The yacht started with a misguided million robbery

German police have been searching for the trio since June 2015. In Bremen, Germany, there was a misguided robbery of traffickers at the time, the perpetrators of which are suspected. The trio tried to break into a truck carrying a catch of up to about a million euros. Traces of DNA were found at the crime scene, which led to the act being linked to former RAF terrorists.

Since the Bremen incident, the troika has, according to German police, organized four other robbery attempts, the most recent of which was in June 2016 in Cremlingen, Germany.

Kopla is suspected of a total of 12 robberies or attempted robberies between 1999 and 2016.

German police have warned against approaching the trio, as wanted persons could be dangerous. However, a discovery fee of 80,000 euros has been promised for possible tips leading to arrest.

The trio caused an operation in Sweden

According to German police, it is possible that the troika will be staying somewhere else in Europe instead of Germany, possibly in one of Germany’s neighboring countries.

The trio has caused confusion even in Sweden. In 2016, the authorities thought they had tracked the trio in the Halland region of southern Sweden. It was a false alarm, though.

Authorities went to inspect the cottage, which was suspected of being a hideout for the trio. A German couple in their sixties was found in the cottage, with had nothing to do with a trio. The Swedish police operation was also reported Finland.

The terrorist organization longed for a popular uprising

The Rote Armee Faction, or RAF, operated in the 1970s and 1990s, and more than 30 people were killed in attacks. The aim of the group was to organize a working uprising in the Federal Republic of Germany.

The group shook the country, especially in the 1970s with bombings, kidnappings and murders of businessmen and politicians. The group is also known, according to its founders, as the Baader-Meinhof group.

The organization announced that it had ceased operations in 1998 by sending a letter to the media.
