No new interest rate subsidies for companies in sight – “The foggy future is near”

With these prospects, there are no new corona support packages for companies coming into the autumn budget dispute, says Minister of Finance Matti Vanhanen (center). He spoke on the matter at a meeting of the Association of Political Journalists.

According to Vanhanen, the near future of the economy is foggy, because it is still difficult to say what is happening to the world economy and market areas that are important for Finland due to the coron virus.

The risk, he said, is still that the pandemic will cause an economic downturn on a global scale.
