Formulating the second exercises of the festive competition to end prematurely. The session went smoothly until the very last minutes. Ferrari Sebastian Vettelin however, the car began to leak oil with about five minutes of training left. According to Ferrari, the German engine completely failed. So Vettel’s car is getting a new power source for tomorrow.
Immediately behind, another Ferrari-powered car was left on the track. Alfa Romeon Antonio Giovinazzin the car stopped due to a possible gearbox problem.
Driving on the Mercedes went great again. Lewis Hamilton was the fastest in the session with a time of 1: 25.606. Valtteri Bottas was second, and left only a tenth to his teammate. As the drivers were driving on the track, it happened outside the stable as well. Mercedes Technical Director James Allison as well as the team manager Toto Wolff gained screen time while cornering on kickboards around the track area.

Third came Renault Daniel Ricciardo. For the next season, the Aussie, who switched to McLaren, was eight tenths of a silver arrow. Ricciardo’s teammate Esteban Ocon was the tenth, as in the first section.
Max Verstappen continued steady performance with the fourth. He was followed by Racing Point cars in the headlines today. Lance Stroll was Fifth and Nico Hülkenberg sixth. However, the German had to abandon his race stint as his seat was detached.
Completed the top ten Charles Leclerc as well as both McLarens. The series continues on Saturday with third rehearsals and a time trial.
