5 million!
Square Enix has announced Final Fantasy VII Remaken exceeded the limit of five million copies.
The five million count includes both physical and digital copies of the game, even globally. The reading is not entirely impossible when compared to, for example, the previous part of the main series, which was valid for consumers five million times during the first 24 hours of sales. Nonetheless, it is the best-selling digital release on PlayStation platforms through Square Enix.
Published in April Final Fantasy VII Remake has only appeared on PlayStation 4, at least so far. The game is also likely to be seen on other platforms after a year of exclusivity, which will naturally boost sales even further.
We’d like to share a Midgar-sized THANK YOU to everyone who has supported #FinalFantasy VII Remake.
We shipped and digitally sold over five million copies worldwide, which has been made # FF7R the highest selling digital release on the PlayStation platform in #SquareEnix history! pic.twitter.com/f6vaDSHukD
