Helsinki Seagulls, who plays in the basketball league, has attracted Kendale McCullum from the United States.

Bred by the Universities of Wisconsin-Parks and Lewis, McCallum, 24, delighted with his skills in the German tough ProA League in his first professional year on the Paderborn team, earning 18.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, 7.1 assists and 2.6 exploits per match. At the end of a great season, he was crowned the best player in the entire league, as well as the best defensive player.

– I’m grateful for the opportunity to join the assembly of seagulls! I’ve heard a lot of good in Helsinki, seagulls organization, as well as the players. I can’t wait to get to start the season with new teammates and provide a decent show for the fans. Go Seagulls !, McCallum glows on the Helsinki Club website.

The absolute strengths of 185-centimeter McCullum, from Elgin, Illinois, include the explosive speed with which he brings a guaranteed threat to the opponent’s basket in quick attacks.

– We are looking for a player instead of a player who has the speed, explosiveness, versatile threat of corinthians and passing skills needed to multiply the benefits. We found a really good player for these qualities in McCullum. His election to defense top five for several years and even as a defense player of the year at both the university and the German ProA also tells good things about his activity, says Helsinki Seagulls head coach Jussi Laakso.

With the third foreign attachment of Helsinki Seagulls, the composition of the team is currently as follows: Max Besselink, Mambi Diawara (CAN-ML), Timo Heinonen, Shawn Huff, Antti Kanervo, Tuukka Kotti, Sakari Laakso, Wayne Martin (USA), Kendale McCullum (USA), Samuli Mäkelä, Sami Tahvanainen, Erik Waxlax.
