The Finnish division of Kouvottari, who will play in the Women’s Basketball League, will be further strengthened when 180-centimeter Kaisa Kuisma joins the team’s strength with a comprehensive contract for the coming season.

Kouvot says on its website that the agreement includes a foreign option until the end of this month. In addition to the native Women’s Basketball League, Kuisma has played for one season in Portugal.

Kuisma, 26, is an experienced and versatile player. Kuisma has played a total of 197 matches in five different teams in the women’s basketball league over seven seasons.

Orimattila’s Jymy has increased by an average of 5.9 points in these matches, and 1.9 rebounds per match. Last time Kuisma played the Women’s Basketball League in Tapiola Honga’s shirt in the season 2018-19. At that time, the platform hit the counter with powers of 8.3 / 2.7 / 2.0 with the triangles hitting with an excellent 32 percent accuracy.

Kuisma moved abroad last season for the first time in his career. A suitable place was found in Southern Europe when Kuisma was the first Finnish woman to move into the main series of Portugal in the ranks of Vitoria SC. His team belonged to the middle caste of the league. Kuisma had a fantastic opportunity to put Kuisma up another goal 33 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. The powers were also nice, 9.3 points and 3.4 rebounds.

Kuisma was supposed to continue playing abroad, but it was different.

– I gained valuable experience from a profession abroad in Portugal, I believe it will bring a new perspective to everyday work in Finland as well. The intention was to continue the coming season abroad, but with the prevailing coronavirus situation, concluding a contract domestically seemed to be quite a sensible option.
