The Florida Panthers, skippered by Finnish star Aleksander Barkov, have since dropped out in the NHL playoffs.

The New York Islanders knocked the Panthers 5-1 on Friday and advanced to the actual playoffs with a match win of 3-1.

Islanders ’characters on Friday were Anthony Beauvillier (2 + 0), Mathew Barzal (1 + 1), Brock Nelson (1 + 1) and Josh Bailey (0 + 2). Islanders’ Finnish striker Leo Komarov also scored one point in the match.

Florida’s only goal was completed by Barkov’s feed from Mike Hoffman in the first set. Florida’s Erik Haula was left without power points.

The Florida season ended tonight. Captain Aleksander Barkov summed up the balance 1 + 3 = 4 in four playoffs. Before the corona break, Barkov had time to play 66 matches at 20 + 42 = 62.
