Headache: Billie and Greg's date night was likely much needed following their recent drama over plans to renovate their £1.4 million Brentwood home into a five bedroom 'dream house'

Headache: Billie and Greg’s date night was likely much needed following their recent drama over plans to renovate their £1.4 million Brentwood home into a five bedroom ‘dream house’

Their date night was likely a welcome distraction from their current drama regarding their plans to renovate their £1.4 million old-fashioned mansion into a ‘dream home’.

The pair bought a run down 1920s property in Brentwood and submitted plans to turn it into a five-bedroom home over a planned year-and-a-half-long project, but faced rejections as their project was branded ‘too grand’.

In a previous rejection response from the council officer’s report it was written of the potential house: ‘It would be the biggest house on the street and the increase in size from the original home would not be acceptable.’

The reports also had concerns about whether the home would be sympathetic to the local area.

After various issues, they have turned a corner with their neighbours and have agreed to a number of changes and compromises so that local residents have finally deemed their plans ‘acceptable’.
