Conor McGregor and fiancée Dee Devlin passionately kiss and cuddle

He announced that they are engaged to be married just days ago.

And it seems as though former UFC champion Conor McGregor and his long-term love Dee Devlin were feeling very loved up towards one another on Thursday.

Conor, 32, passionately kissed and cuddled the mother of his two children as they enjoyed the sunshine on a yacht in the South of France.

Showing off his multiple inkings, no doubt the pair were enjoying some quality time together.

The announcement comes just two months after Conor announced he was retiring from the sport for a third time.

McGregor posted a picture of them together on Instagram captioned: ‘What a birthday, my futureee wife!’.

In June, McGregor stunned fans by announcing his retirement from UFC in a post on Twitter, saying shortly after his announcement that the game ‘does not excite me.’

The former featherweight and lightweight champion was a controversial figure during his career, but despite this, was unquestionably Mixed Martial Art’s biggest attraction.

The pair have been in a relationship since 2008, when McGregor started his UFC career. They have two children together – three-year-old Conor Jr and one-year-old daughter Croia.

They also live together with their children in a stunning £2million mansion.

McGregor – whose net worth is said to be £90 million – suggested that he proposed to Devlin when they were on holiday together in France.

After leaving her job to support McGregor, Devlin became part of his team as she was put in charge of his finances, and travels everywhere with him.

The comment section under the picture shared by McGregor was filled with congratulations, including from his coach John Kavanagh and training partner Dillon Danis.

On June 7, McGregor announced his retirement from the UFC for the third time in his career, having previously said he was retiring in both 2016 and 2019. He made swift u-turns on both occasions.

Following the conclusion of UFC 250, he wrote on Twitter: ‘Hey guys I’ve decided to retire from fighting.

‘Thank you all for the amazing memories! What a ride it’s been! Here is a picture of myself and my mother in Las Vegas post one of my world title wins! Pick the home of your dreams Mags I love you! Whatever you desire it’s yours.’

Later, he told ESPN: ‘I’m a bit bored of the game. I’m just not excited about the game. I don’t know if it’s no crowd. I don’t know what it is. There’s just no buzz for me.

‘All this waiting around. There’s nothing happening. I’m going through opponent options, and there’s nothing really there at the minute. There’s nothing that’s exciting me.’

McGregor joined the UFC in 2013, having established himself as a two-division Cage Warriors champion.

He needed only 13 seconds to overcome long-reigning featherweight champion Jose Aldo in December 2015, the fastest victory in UFC title history.

One year later, he became the first person to hold titles in two divisions simultaneously when he stopped Eddie Alvarez to win the lightweight crown – although just a few days later he was stripped of the featherweight belt.

McGregor then crossed over into boxing and though he lost to five-weight world champion Floyd Mayweather in August 2017, it was a bout that reportedly earned him in excess of 100million US dollars.

McGregor returned to the UFC the following year, losing to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 in a bout where the build-up and immediate aftermath was tarnished by a number of controversial flash points.

McGregor has also had a couple of brushes with the law during his time in UFC.

In 2018, he was sentenced to five days of community service after video footage showed him attacking a bus containing UFC fighters, including Nurmagomedov, months before their showdown.

In July 2018 he pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct at a Brooklyn court as part of a plea deal to avoid jail time after he threw a metal trolley at a rival’s team bus.

In March 2019, he was arrested in Miami after video showed him stealing and stamping on a fan’s phone as he tried to get a video with him.

Last year, McGregor was also fined 1,000 euros after pleading guilty to assaulting an older man in a pub in Dublin.

The ex-UFC champion was caught on CCTV in the Marble Arch pub in the Irish capital on April 6 pouring shots of his Proper Twelve whiskey – a brand which he founded and owns – for those sitting at the bar.

But after one man twice rejected his offer, McGregor threw a vicious jab into his face which caught him on the cheek, leaving onlookers stunned.

Despite being punched by one of MMA’s most high-profile fighters, the man, thought to be in his 60s, remained on his stool.

In fact, he took the punch better than many of McGregor’s opponents and hardly reacted.

McGregor was immediately dragged away by the security team he was drinking with.
