Southern California is currently in the midst of a brutal heat wave.
But Lucy Hale was undeterred by the sweltering temperatures as she embarked on a solo hike at Runyon Canyon in Los Angeles on Friday afternoon.
The 31-year-old Pretty Little Liars star bared her toned midriff in a cropped pale blue tank top and a pair of black camo print biker shorts.

Hale gave her hike some added difficulty by strapping a set of weights to her ankles.
Despite the heat, Lucy still made sure to adhere to California’s mask mandate by covering her mouth and nose with a black cloth mask.
Her hair was styled into pigtails and she concealed her hazel eyes behind a pair of silver framed aviator shades.
Lucy attempted to drown out the noise of the popular hiking trail by plugging her AirPods into her ears.

The Kate Keene actress opted to carry her colorful water bottle and her cellphone in her hand as she trekked up one of the trail’s steepest hills.
Hale accessorized her work out look by placing a myriad of dainty gold chains around her neck.
After getting in her calorie burn, Lucy returned home to her darling dog Elvis, who was eagerly waiting for her at the front door.
Before embarking on her afternoon hike, Hale paid homage to her furry friend on Instagram.

Earlier this year, she told Elle that she believes she and Elvis, whom she adopted in 2016, knew each other in a previous life.
