Cody Simpson moves on after Miley Cyrus split… flirting with a bevy of bikini-clad girls

Cody Simpson appears to be embracing the single life just a week after his split from Miley Cyrus was revealed. 

The Australian singer was pictured on Sunday in Los Angeles, flashing his toned physique while enjoying the company of several bikini-clad girls. 

Cody, 23, – who went his separate ways with Miley, 27, after ten months of dating – looked to be engaged in conversation with one blonde female pal while hanging out with friends. 

However, it seems that Miley and Cody are amicable exes, after he recently wishes her well on his Instagram Stories. 

‘So proud of you. Congratulations to the most special of all,’ he wrote on his account last week, with her new song Midnight Sky playing in the background, over a clip from the video. 

Cody appeared to be encouraging in his 3.9 million followers to check out the new song, released Friday, adding: ‘Go cop that new!’ 

Miley confirmed she split from Cody after less than a year of dating in an Instagram Live clip last Thursday, telling fans the pair are taking time apart to ‘work on’ themselves. 

The Wrecking Ball hitmaker said she remains friends with the Australian singer, who she has known for a decade. 

Referencing her split from ex-husband Liam Hemsworth in August last year, Miley began: ‘A year ago, almost to this exact date, the media tried to tell my story for me, and control my narrative, and I’m just not accepting that.

‘So today, it came out that me and my boyfriend have broken up,’ she continued.

‘It was confirmed by a “reliable source” even though no one is reliable in a relationship except the individuals who are participating in it.

‘But right now, two halves can’t make a whole and we’re individually just working on ourselves to become the people that we wanna be, like everybody else at this age.’

Miley added: ‘We are just deciding who we wanna be in our lives, what we wanna do, and so, don’t make it some drama story if next week we’re hanging out, getting pizza.

‘We’ve been friends for 10 years and we’re going to continue to be friends, so just don’t make it something that it is not.’  

According to TMZ, Miley and Cody ended their relationship in the last few weeks.   

The pair have known have each for a decade, becoming good friends in 2015. 

While appearing on the Zach Sang show that year, Cody deemed Miley as ‘the coolest girl I’ve ever met here in LA’.
