Bachelor star Abbie Chatfield calls out Channel 10 for double standards after fairytale music played as Bella Varelis kissed Locky Gilbert at the cocktail party

Former Bachelor star Abbie Chatfield has called out Channel 10 for double standards after Bella Varelis was portrayed in a favourable way after kissing Locky Gilbert on Wednesday night.

Fairytale music played as Bella, 25, and Locky, 30, shared a passionate kiss, after she professed her feelings for him during the cocktail party.

Abbie, 25, slammed the show in a video shared to her Instagram story, claiming she was ‘sl*t shamed’ for sharing a makeout session with Matt Agnew at a cocktail party during the seventh season of the show.

‘We can’t choose our edits but I find [this thing with Bella] really interesting. It also happened in our season as well when Helena [Sauzier] kissed Matt in the orchard in a red dress with red lipstick on,’ she said.

She added: ‘It was a cute and quirky but when I did it, it was [Abbie mimicked music played for horror scenes].’

Abbie went on to say ‘music really changes things’ and used another example from Angie Kent’s season of The Bachelorette.

‘Carlin [Sterritt] told Angie about Jess being a bad person and he was gentleman for warning her but when I told Matt about Monique [Morley] calling him a dog c**t, I was a manipulative snake despite the fact it was correct,’ she said.

Abbie continued: ‘Im not going to watch this season because it’s honestly triggering me and it’s taking me back a year. I can be here all night and give you examples of other hypocritical things.’

During Wednesday’s episode, Bella managed to steal the thrill-seeking single away from the other women and it wasn’t long before she professed her feelings for Locky.

‘Oh, my God! Been, like, two days and I miss you already,’ Bella told Locky as they sat down.

The strapping hunk went on to admit he had been searching for Bella all night.

‘I was looking for you in all [the] corners tonight to come talk to you, but then I was, like, “Alright, I don’t want to get you in trouble’ [with the other girls],”‘ he said.

Before adding: ‘… I feel bad, but you’re the person I want to talk to.’

The pair then shared a passionate kiss, with Locky putting his hand on the brunette’s slender thigh as music played in the background.
