Dancing On Ice 2021: Pros Alexander Demetriou and Carlotta Edwards are replaced by a new married couple… after their eventual split amid Maura Higgins romance rumours last series
Dancing On Ice has finished revealing its 2021 contestants – and is now updating fans on who the pro skaters will be.
And there’s been a slight shuffle in the line-up for the forthcoming series, set to air in January.
Several new professionals will be added, with married (now separated) pros Alexander Demetriou and Carlotta Edwards being given the boot.

They will be replaced with a different husband/wife duo, in the form of Andy Buchanan and Robin Johnstone, who have in fact taken part on the series in the past.
Yebin Mok has also been recruited. She is the wife of another of the pros, Tom Naylor.
The replacement of Alexander comes after he was paired up with Love Island star Maura Higgins last year.
This prompted backstage rumours that they were more than skating partners, despite Alexander being married to Carlotta, and Maura being in a relationship with her Love Island co-star Curtis Pritchard. Carlotta was paired with magician Ben Hanlin.

Curtis and Maura split up – although she has always denied any romance with her pro partner. And in April, shortly after the series concluded, so did Alexander and Carlotta.
He wrote on Instagram at the time: ‘Carlotta and I have separated. Although it saddens… I feel this is best for the both of us.’
He also hinted at the time that they wouldn’t be back this year for the show, having been part of it since it originally aired in 2006, returning for the reboot in 2018.
Andy and Robin are no strangers to the gig, with Andy previously skating with Anthea Turner and Zaraah Abrahams, while Robin was paired up with Gareth Thomas and Joe Pasquale.
The judges will stay the same: Ashley Banjo, John Barrowman, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean
Back again: Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby continue to host the show
Other new additions include Disney On Ice star Angela Egan, Dancing On Ice Netherlands pro Klabera Komini, Cirque Du Soleil performer Karina Manta and her pro skating partner Joe Johnson.

The likes of Myleene Klass, Denise Van Outen, Rebekah Vardy, Billie Faiers and Jason Donovan will be part of the celebrity line-up this winter.
