SAS Australia: The proof that Jackson Warne follows a very limited diet

Jackson Warne shocked viewers on Tuesday when he revealed he’d eaten a greater variety of food on SAS Australia than he had in his entire life.

The 21-year-old son of retired cricketer Shane Warne confessed he’d only tried ’10 different foods before’ when presented with a tin of tomato soup – a bold claim that left his co-stars flabbergasted.

And a cursory glance at Jackson’s Instagram account proves that he does, in fact, follow an extremely limited diet – and has done for years.

The proof that Jackson Warne follows a very limited diet: An Instagram photo from three years ago shows the SAS Australia star, 21, with a bland meal while dining at a fancy restaurant

He also has a habit of ordering bland, off-menu dishes at fancy restaurants.

Jackson shared a photo to Instagram on October 13, 2017, while visiting an upmarket steak house in Melbourne.

All of his friends ordered steak with sauce and either mashed potato or chips, but Jackson simply had a plate of spuds.

In November 2016, Jackson was pictured at a restaurant enjoying ‘Mexican nachos’ that were actually tortilla chips and melted cheese with nothing else.

He seems to have inherited his unsophisticated taste in food from his father, Shane.

The spin bowler, 51, famously had baked beans delivered to him on Indian tours because he could not eat the spicy food.

Shane also revealed in August 2017 that he eats plain potato cakes for lunch.

Jackson made his extraordinary diet revelation on Tuesday’s episode of SAS Australia when his co-stars noticed that he seemed confused by his tomato soup.

‘Do you know what it is, Jackson?’ asked Schapelle Corby, to which he responded, ‘The food? Soup.’

The convicted drug smuggler, 43, explained that it was tomato soup, and Jackson asked her if it was ‘good’.

‘I’ve never had it. I’ve only had, like, 10 different foods before,’ he admitted.

A stunned Schapelle asked him whether he followed some sort of special diet.

‘No, I’ve just always had the same thing, since I was young,’ he continued.

‘Oh, you don’t like to experience new foods! Oh! This is huge for you then,’ said Schapelle.

As he sat down to eat, Jackson confessed that the soup tasted like ‘tinned spaghetti sauce’.

He seemed to enjoy it, holding his tin bowl up to his mouth as he scooped out every last bit with his spoon.

‘You’re broadening your horizons at a rate of knots,’ said one of his fellow recruits.

Jackson added: ‘I’ve tasted more foods the past two days than in my whole life.’

SAS Australia continues Monday at 7.30pm on Channel Seven
