Anthea Turner visits hairdressers after supporting John Leslie

She has thrown her support behind her friend John Leslie this week, saying she ‘could not be happier’ as he was found not guilty of sexual assault on Monday.

And Anthea Turner appeared to be in a jovial mood after getting a fresh trim at Daniel Galvin London, enjoying an energetic boogie with her hairdresser.

The TV presenter, 60, shared her uplifting TikTok dance video with her 66,000 Instagram followers on Wednesday.

She bopped alongside her hairdresser Lino Carbosiero, as the dynamic duo used hair and styling brushes for props while dancing to On My Mind by Diplo and Sidepiece.

Alongside the amusing video, she wrote: ‘All blow dried now, no more frizz!

‘Popped in for a trim and a bit of boogie.’

The former Blue Peter star appeared to channel some of the moves she learnt while doing a Strictly Come Dancing challenge for Children in Need three years ago.

This comes after she threw her support behind her friend John Leslie, saying she ‘could not be happier’ as he was cleared of groping a woman at a Christmas party 12 years ago.

Leslie, 55, was accused of grabbing a woman’s breasts at the Soho Revue Bar, in Greek Street in London‘s West End but said the incident never happened.

The woman said she came forward after being ‘inspired’ by the MeToo movement, but Leslie was cleared of sexual assault after just 23 minutes deliberation on Monday.

Anthea, who had defended John alongside former Blue Peter colleague Diane-Louise Jordan, shared a snap of the three stars on Tuesday after they gave testimony at his trial.

Taking to Instagram, she penned: ‘John Leslie has AGAIN been given the verdict NOT GUILTY.

‘The shot was taken last week after Diane and I joined him and his Dad at Southwark Court.

‘Unbelievable relief for our amazing gentle giant of a friend but personal anger that he has had his life ripped apart over the years, however justice has today prevailed and I couldn’t be happier.’

Last week, the veteran presenter detailed being the target of three thefts in just two months.

She took to Instagram last Tuesday revealing she was ‘devastated’ after thieves smashed into her Range Rover and stole her designer handbag.

The TV personality shared a photo of her vehicle with a smashed-in back windshield and revealed she was the target of three thefts in two months.

Anthea detailed how she had been enjoying dinner with friends last week when thieves broke into her vehicle and stole a Mulberry handbag, an item of great sentimental value to her.

Posting a photo of her car, a mobile phone and bike that were also stolen, Anthea wrote: ‘There’s a latin phrase “omne trium perfectum” everything that comes in three is perfect. Well not ‘Perfect’ but maybe it ends my thieving bad luck?

‘After years and years of theft free living in the spate of 2 months my beautiful locked Boardman Ladies bike was pinched from outside a church in Bishops Park Fulham, my iPhone from my bag in a swimwear shop on The Kings Road and last week the back screen of my car was smashed in and the thieves retrieved a holdall from the boot.’

Anthea was scheduled to tie the knot to fiance Mark Armstrong last month in Italy, but the pair were forced to postpone their nuptials due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

She told HELLO!: ‘Mark and I had planned to go out and look at venues in March and then set a date for September.

‘Mark is from Italy, his family are from Milan, so it seemed the perfect place for us.

‘It will be next year now. I am not even in any angst about it. When we do it, it will be small and cute, just with our close friends and family.’

She was previously married to ex-husband Grant Bovey for 13 years, but the couple split after he cheated on her with a woman half her age in 2013.

Anthea’s first marriage was to her manager, former DJ Peter Powell, in 1990, with the couple splitting up eight years later.
