SAS Australia: Ali Oetjen responds to rumours she’s dating Nick Cummins

‘I knew it was going to happen’: SAS Australia’s Ali Oetjen responds to ‘frustrating’ rumours she is dating Nick ‘The Honey Badger’ Cummins

Rumours have swirled that she is romantically involved with her SAS Australia co-star Nick ‘The Honey Badger’ Cummins.

And on Wednesday, former Bachelorette Ali Oetjen broke her silence on the rumours, saying she finds them ‘frustrating’.

In an interview with Yahoo, the 34-year-old fitness guru clarified there was no truth to the rumours ‘at all’ and admitted the pair ‘didn’t chat much’ during filming.

‘I find [the speculation] so funny and frustrating at the same time,’ she said.

However, Ali knew the rumours were ‘going to happen anyway’ given the fact she was the Bachelorette the same year Nick was the Bachelor.

Ali began filming the military-style reality show just one month after splitting from her boyfriend of two years, Taite Radley, her chosen suitor on The Bachelorette.

But despite being hot on the heels of a break-up, she said that finding love was the last thing on her mind.

‘I wasn’t looking for love at all… it was just an amazing opportunity to experience and test myself,’ she stated.

Ali and Taite, 29, announced their split via Instagram in July, saying they were ‘taking time apart’ and giving each other ‘some space’.

‘It is with the heaviest heart that we want to let everyone know that we have decided to take time apart in order to give each other space and time to fully focus on our own paths,’ Ali wrote.

‘We both love each other deeply and only want the best for each other and both want the ultimate happiness for each other and hopefully our paths will reconnect again soon.’

She added: ‘We’ve decided to be open with this so there’s no speculation and so we expect love, respect and kindness in return. I love you, Taite.’
