She’s best known for her chart-topping hits after finding fame on American Idol.

And on Thursday, American singer Kelly Clarkson revealed she almost ended up on the panel of coaches on The Voice Australia.

Speaking to Delta Goodrem on her American talk show on Thursday, Kelly, 38, revealed she was asked to appear on the Channel Nine series.

The conversation began when Delta, 35, said to the Breakaway hitmaker: ‘We need to bring you out to the Australian one.’

To which, Kelly responded: ‘I know, I feel like years ago I was knocked up and they asked if I’d be in it and I was like, “I love Australia. I would love to live there for a little bit and do it.”

Kelly then explained that she decided not to join the panel as she was feeling ‘so pregnant and miserable’ at the time.

Meanwhile, elsewhere on the program, Delta spoke of her new single, Solid Gold.

‘This one was about basically letting go of things that don’t serve you anymore,’ Delta said.

‘It’s about being able to move forward and remind yourself of your self worth and saying, “You know, that doesn’t serve me any longer.”
