Sharon Osbourne reveals she has gained 10 pounds since the coronavirus quarantine began: ‘It’s a lot when you’re, like, five-foot-one’

Sharon Osbourne has admitted she gained weight during the coronavirus lockdown.

The TV host revealed she put on 10 pounds since the pandemic hit but is already taking action to try and get back in shape.

On Monday’s episode of The Talk, the 68-year-old revealed: ‘I’m, like, 10 pounds over from what I usually am,

‘And 10 pounds is a lot when you’re, like, five-foot-one and a smidge.’

‘It’s, like, a lot of weight. So, I started walking yesterday. … This is it now. I’ve got the bug. I’m on it.’

Sharon’s confession comes just weeks after daughter Kelly unveiled her stunning 85-pound weight loss. 

The TV personality revealed she underwent gastric sleeve surgery two years ago. 

Meanwhile, Sharon opened up about her decision to have an abortion when she was 18.

‘Especially my father. They would have been disappointed in me. I would have been a failure. My father would have just gone, oh, ballistic!’

'It's, like, a lot of weight. So, I started walking yesterday. … This is it now. I've got the bug. I’m on it.' she revealed

After the secret procedure, Sharon was so sick she was forced to tell her mother what had happened. 

‘I was so ill, I was so sick, and I had to tell my mother because she was calling the doctor, and I had to tell my mother,’ Sharon recalled.

‘And she basically said, “You did this. You’ve got to go through this on your own. You’re such a big girl, you do it on your own.” And I was like, “Okay I get it.” But [I was] terrified.’

Sharon’s co-host Sheryl Underwood then asked her how her mother Hope made her feel at that moment.

‘Just afraid and so alone. Just so alone. It’s like the shame I brought on to this family,’ Sharon confessed.

‘God forbid anyone should find out. I can’t do this to my parents. And I didn’t think of her as, “Oh how can you say this to me? You’re my mom.” I just thought, “Oh my god, the shame I caused this family.”‘

Sharon met husband Ozzy Osbourne when she was 18, they married in 1982 and went on to have daughters Aimee, 37, Kelly, 36 and Jack, 34.
