Don’t Be Tardy: Kim Zolciak begs Kroy Biermann to pull over after RV engine shuts off during trip

Kim Zolciak’s family trip across the United States came to a halt after her RV’s engine failed on Tuesday’s episode of Don’t Be Tardy.

It happened in the middle of nowhere as the gang was hurtling toward Amarillo, Texas, to visit a dude ranch.

Kim’s husband Kroy Biermann, 35, insisted that he knew what was going on when red lights started flashing in the vehicle and the sound of small electrical pops were heard.

But Kim, a 42-year-old ‘helicopter parent’ who constantly worried about her six kids, wasn’t so sure.

‘Slow. Slow. Just slow, honey,’ she begged Kroy, concerned they might be losing their brakes.

Tony Biancosino, the show’s executive producer, reassured the family he was in a vehicle behind them, as someone theorized it might be the engine.

‘I’m really f***ing stressed out,’ Kim said in a confessional. ‘I’m like, in a bad dream.’

Kroy wasn’t scared at all, observing that Kim had no idea how their vehicle really worked, and noting, ‘When she thinks ‘engine,’ she thinks ‘catastrophe.’

‘I just want to get off this highway,’ Kim retorted. ‘I’m done.’

At 1:15am, Kroy discovered their RV had a component failure in ‘controller number one.’

‘At least it’s not level two component failure,’ joked Ariana Biermann, 17, leading Kim to say, ‘I’m glad you guys find this f***ing funny. It’s not funny.’

The teen got out and started taking selfies in the dark, but scurried when she heard ‘an electric popping sound’ from the vehicle.

Kroy wanted to try his luck on a smaller road, but Kim refused to let the vehicle go an inch further, saying, ‘We have six kids. It’s not just you and me.’

‘I hear a little bit of crackling and popping, but I don’t see any codes running across the dash,’ Kroy said in a confessional, as Kim reacted in horror. ‘We can’t stay here!’

He got back on the highway, distressing his wife.

‘You’re not a mechanic!’ she pointed out. ‘Things are blinking; you don’t know why. What RV in the world just starts spinning and blinking, beep beep beep?’

‘I mean, I have some knowledge of some bigger machinery,’ Kroy protested.

‘Call me crazy, but if something starts blinking and the engine shuts off and you’re going 85, which you’re really going 115…’ Kim said.

At 40 mph on the highway, their vehicle started rumbling and beeping again.

‘There it goes again!’ Kim cried. ‘Is that enough to pull over?’

In a preview of next week’s show, Kroy discovered that there was a short in the engine.

‘What’s going on?’ Ariana wondered aloud. ‘Why are RVs sizzling?’

The family had started the day in St. Louis, Missouri, where everyone was going stir-crazy from being inside for so long.

It was raining out, but Kim’s older girls jumped in a production vehicle to go pick up some pizza.

‘I just think being on this trip and being so close to everyone is just making me psychotic,’ shared Ariana.

‘I’ve never been so excited to run errands,’ agreed Brielle Biermann, 22.

When they got back to the RV, their siblings devoured the pizza as Kim stared at them adoringly.

‘I love that all of my kids are within 10 feet,’ she said.

Brielle observed that Kim was ‘in heaven on this trip, while everybody else is in hell. Hell on wheels.’

When the sun came out, the family headed to Branson, Missouri, which Kroy called a ‘Midwest Las Vegas,’ with plenty of fun activities and entertainment.

They decided to try go-karting, which stressed Kim out.

‘The more fun the kids are having, I’m just a wreck,’ she shared. ‘I think a lot of moms are like me. Kroy’s like, ‘You’re just a lunatic. Calm down.’

As they all poured into their cars, Kim implored the Archangel Michael to protect her brood.

Afterward, they took photos of roadside attractions, including the world’s largest fork and a giant statue of Ronald Reagan, whom Brielle thought might be Abraham Lincoln.

‘Wasn’t he a hated president?’ she asked in a confessional.

‘I think you’re thinking of the one in the tub,’ Ariana said, referring to William Howard Taft, the 27th president, whom she erroneously believed died in the bath.

‘Elvis?’ Brielle asked, to which Ariana replied, ‘No, he died on the s***ter.’

The family next dressed up in Western gear for an ‘old-timey photo,’ which found the women sporting low-cut tops and fishnets, and the men in dusters and cowboy hats, carrying guns.

They considered using it as their next Christmas photo.

After that, they were off to a dude ranch in Amarillo, Texas, where the girls hoped to meet dudes.

It was a long drive, and one Kroy was happy to undertake at night, with his family safely asleep.

Suddenly, red lights started flashing in the RV, and ‘things were spinning,’ said Kim.

‘Oh my God,’ she moaned.

Don’t Be Tardy will return next week on Bravo.
