Tamar Braxton denies hitting her ex-boyfriend David Adefeso while he was driving

Tamar Braxton pushed back against allegations from her ex-boyfriend David Adefeso that she had been physically abusive toward him in an interview with Tamron Hall that will air on Wednesday.

In a clip from the Tamron Hall Show, the 43-year-old singer denied David’s claims that she hit him in the jugular while he was driving, according to a clip from People.

She told Tamron, 50, that her ex had video of the entire incident and urged him to release it to clear up the speculation.

‘I am a survivor of a domestic violence relationship,’ Tamar said.

‘Not at a single point were David and I in an abusive relationship,’ she continued.

After Tamron pushed her on reports that there was a video of the alleged altercation, the singer clarified that she had made a voice recording, while her ex had a video of the incident.

‘He has a camera in his car,’ she explained.

‘He has the video tape. He has it. It was in his car. Release it,’ she continued as the host repeatedly asked if any domestic violence was on the tape.

Tamar went on to say that she ‘loved David’ and called him ‘an amazing partner’ and her son’s best friend as her voice began to crack and tears welled up in her eyes.

‘Through everything else, I never expected this from him,’ she added, before taking a break to compose herself.

Back in September, David filed a restraining order against the Love And War singer.

In a video posted to his YouTube channel, he claimed that Tamar attacked him while he was driving at ‘high speeds’ with ‘a blow to my neck, my jugular.’

‘For those of you who know about medicine and the jugular, that’s what carries blood to your brain. When you’re hit there, it discombobulates you. I thought I was going to crash. I was driving fast,’ he continued.

David claimed that his Rolls-Royce was ‘destroyed’ in the incident, and he claimed that he was a victim of domestic violence who had never attacked or abused Tamar.

He also referenced her mental health struggles and a July suicide attempt, though he urged his fans to avoid stigmatizing mental health issues.

Tamar was hospitalized for her suicide attempt shortly after the trailer was dropped for her six-episode reality series Tamar Braxton: Get Ya Life!

A representative for David told People that Tamar was ‘punching him so hard’ while driving, though they said he ‘almost crashed his car,’ which seems less serious than his claims that it was destroyed.

‘The DA is investigating the incident and Mr. Adefeso is forced to serve her publicly by taking out an ad in the Los Angeles Times Since she has dodged being served the DVTRO.’
