It’s believed the man acting as Borat in the trailer is a body-double for actor Sacha, who is based in the U.S.

The clip opens to Borat saying ‘G’day, mate’ in his signature accent, before he chases and mimics a gorgeous beachgoer – Sammy Jo.

The hilarious scene shows Sammy running along the beach in a tight and revealing swimsuit and emerging from the waves looking effortlessly seductive.

Borat is seen wearing his signature mankini for the clip, as he struggled to keep up with the blonde.

‘Thankyou @primevideoaunz @jeepmgmt for having me be apart of the new Borat promo. #borat,’ Sammy wrote on Instagram on Sunday.

Beachgoers at Sydney’s iconic Bondi Beach were left stunned last week after dozens of Borats in very questionable mankinis briefly took over the famous stretch of sand.

The hilarious publicity stunt added to the anticipation of the global release of Sacha Baron Cohen’s Borat Subsequent Moviefilm.

In amazing scenes, a six metre sculpture of Mr Borat Sagdiyev now proudly sits in Bondi’s Marks Park.

It was transported across Sydney Harbour in a military helicopter although is unlikely to fill the void left by Sculptures by the Sea which has been cancelled this year due to COVID-19.

Sacha Baron Cohen’s Borat Subsequent Moviefilm premiered on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, 23 October.
