DJ Marshmello’s $550K monster truck stolen and suspect leads police on a pursuit through Los Angeles
Southern California residents took a break from election coverage to watch a pursuit unfold on the streets of Los Angeles.
And it was revealed that DJ Marshmello’s $550,000 monster truck was stolen from a dealership before it crashed outside of a Taco Bell in the San Fernando Valley on Wednesday night.
The chase began in the Van Nuys area when a suspect stole his ride from a Galpin dealership and weaved his way down to Malibu before ending up back near where the pursuit initially began.

The Hennessy VelociRaptor 6×6 was first introduced by Ford in 2017 and retails on average at roughly $360,000.
Local coverage began reporting on the pursuit around 9:50 p.m. when the suspect was heading through Malibu Canyon to the 101 freeway.
Pursuits have become a social media phenomenon in Los Angeles with users following along for every detail of the chase.
Despite the Lost Hills Sheriffs Station issuing a spike strip on Las Virgenes Road, the beast of a vehicle plowed through and made its way to the freeway before circling around surface streets miles away.

The massive Ford F-550 6×6 truck was actually redesigned by Dave Sparks of the Diesel Brothers, and he was watching the pursuit unfold.
‘When my homie/client @marshmellomusic/@shalizi texts me late at night to tell me that his SMCO6x6 has been stolen and involved in a high speed chase,’ he wrote.

The Los Angeles Times later identified the suspect as 27-year-old Edward Cruz who was booked on suspicion of grand theft auto and felony evading police.
