Strictly’s Ranvir Singh admits she’s wearing SLIPPERS on GMB as her feet are ‘so sore’ 

She topped the leaderboard on Saturday’s show after scoring a whopping 27 points out of 30 for her Foxtrot to Love You I Do from Dreamgirls. 

And Ranvir Singh admitted on Wednesday’s Good Morning Britain that she has been forced to wear slippers as her feet are ‘so sore’ from Strictly Come Dancing.

The presenter, 43, also sweetly revealed that her pro partner Giovanni Pernice and the BBC One series has helped reignite ‘pride’ in her body and what it can achieve.

Speaking about Strictly on Wednesday’s GMB, Ranvir, who hosted the ITV chatshow prior to Susanna Reid and Piers Morgan’s arrival, revealed her comfortable footwear. 

The presenter was congratulated by her co-star Laura Tobin who said: ‘We haven’t talked about it yet… you were so amazing at the weekend – your hair and make-up!’

To which Ranvir quipped: ‘To be fair, the Strictly magic – some of it is dancing, but a lot of it is the hair, make-up and outfit, right? It looked like I was from the poster for the film!’

As well as the praise, Laura, 39, was quick to point out Ranvir’s slippers to which she said: ‘Can we just point out that your feet hurt a lot so today you’re wearing slippers?’

With Ranvir admitting: ‘I’m wearing my slippers, I’m so sorry. It’s the cha-cha-cha, the balls of my feet are so sore!

‘But nobody needs to know this – I am sure it’ll all be lovely on Saturday!’

Ranvir was also sweetly congratulated by co-host Piers who joined the show at 6:30am, he said: ‘She came into the pre-show briefing and she was complaining, but no pain no gain, Ranvir! 

‘Come on, you’re on an unstoppable train to glory and to victory!’

It comes as Ranvir sweetly credited Strictly and her pro partner Giovanni, 30, for helping reignite ‘pride’ in her body and what it can achieve. 

Talking to The Sun, she said: ‘It’s not really about weight actually or anything like that. It’s more just the fact that you’re using your body at quite a rate that I’ve never used it before.

‘I’ve never been a gym bunny. I don’t really enjoy exercise, and therefore, using your body, repeating it hour after hour, movement after movement, and then realising that your body is capable of a lot more.

‘I write myself off quite a lot, but Strictly is reigniting a small modicum of pride in what my body can achieve, even though I take ill upon it. I think that’s the joy of Strictly.’

Ranvir added that being on Strictly is ‘invigorating’, ‘exhilarating’ and she feels ‘incredibly lucky’.

Although the presenter admitted that is having to create ice baths for her feet after intense dance rehearsals n heels.  

While she is also taking ‘liquid iron, omega tablets and multivitamins’ to get her through the gruelling dancing.

Ranvir and Giovanni soared to the top of the leaderboard on Saturday night after stunning with an incredible Foxtrot to a Jennifer Hudson hit from Dreamgirls, earning them the highest score of the series so far – 27 points out of 30.

The star fought back tears as she and Giovanni performed the Foxtrot to Love You I Do from Dreamgirls, earning a standing ovation from judge Motsi Mabuse for transforming into an elegant dancing diva. 

Head judge Shirley Ballas said: ‘It’s our Movie star looking couple for sure, beautiful frame, you just displayed this, so simple but so beautiful. I just love quality. When I see quality I get so excited and that’s exactly what I saw with you.’ 

Motsi added: ‘Can we just declare this National foxtrot day! From one to the next and beautiful and you two compliment each other so well I see a lady I see a man, it takes time to show that quality I just forget the technique because you are the dance.’
