The Block’s Sarah and George reveal how they REALLY feel about their time on the show

‘The struggle was real!’ The Block’s George and Sarah Bragias reveal how they REALLY feel about their time on the hit renovation show

They are currently hoping to score their third win in a row, after initially failing to win any challenges during the first eight weeks of The Block.

And on Wednesday, George and Sarah Bragias revealed how they really feel about their time on the hit Channel Nine renovation show.

The married couple explained to 9now that it was a ‘struggle’ at the beginning, but now that they have a few wins under their belt they are glad they never gave up.

‘You know it’s a surreal feeling, because the struggle was real at the beginning, and we’re so happy that we never threw the towel in and gave up,’ said George.

‘And I know it’s cliché to say but the hard work really paid off, so it’s good.’

Sarah added: ‘It’s no surprise that when we weren’t winning our morale was down, so once we got that first win under our feet, we started to feel a bit more confident, and like we actually were supposed to be in the competition.’

The 33-year-old electrician struggled to hold back tears as he confessed that losing every single one of the show’s challenges up to that point had taken a toll.

‘When are we ever going to be good enough for you? That’s how we feel,’ mused a fed up Sarah, 27.

‘It just gets a bit disheartening, every week. Everyone’s won. At the end of the day, we’re the only ones who haven’t won anything, and I’m just starting to get over it,’ added George.

George admitted that while he and Sarah also came on The Block to ‘have fun’, they dreaded Sunday nights, when the show’s judges assessed their rooms.

‘Eight weeks in a row, all we ever do is leave here being kicked in the teeth. It’s hard,’ he added, as Sarah nodded in agreeance.
