Nadia Sawalha is the picture of confidence as she dances in her underwear

Nadia Sawalha was the picture of confidence as she danced in her underwear in an empowering post on Tuesday.

The Loose Women panellist, 55, took to Instagram to admit she woke up battling with ‘nasty voices in my head’, but was later encouraged to strip down to lingerie after reflecting on motivational affirmations about herself.

Appearing in great spirits, the former EastEnders actress enjoyed a boogie in her kitchen while listening to music via her Apple Airpods.

The presenter proved less is more as she went make-up free while embracing her figure in the two-piece.

Detailing the mental journey she experienced in the morning, the media personality said: ‘Woke up this morning as one sad [duck emoji] dragged my clothes over my miserable a***.

‘Slopped downstairs, looked into the mirror with a face like a slapped a*** and let the nasty voices shout in my head.

‘Dragged myself over to the kettle, brain fizzing with stinking negative thinking And woe is me !!! Then like a lightning bolt I was struck with the thought …. [duck emoji] THIS!!!’ (sic).

The TV star went on to reveal she made the bold social media move when she pondered on her commendable actions, which included giving birth without pain relief, juggling work with family life and baking a cake for an elderly neighbour.

Nadia – who shares Maddie, 17, and Kiki, 13, with husband Mark Adderley – said: ‘What would you say to a friend that was feeling like this Nadia ?!???? Can you not be as good to YOU as you would be to someone else ?? Well….

‘You are [duck emoji]ing amazing! Is what I’d say if I was my mate !!! I’d say ….Just think you gave birth on the kitchen floor you that you are now standing on !!!

‘How [duck emoji]ing brilliant is that, you didn’t even have a Gin and tonic for the pain you goddess warrior you !!! I’d say ….. Your body is [duck emoji]ing incredible ! Give it a big bloody hug instead of moaning about it !

‘I’d say …You cooked an ace roast last night for your family , even though you were [duck emoji]ing knackered. You soothed a sad friend on the phone.

‘You baked a cake for an elderly neighbour (ok you ate half of it but your only human !) You almost cleared out your cupboards but decided [duck emoji] that and hung out with your fella instead !

‘You worked your a*** off all day in a job you love .. You are a 360 deg woman . Now shut the [duck emoji] up , take your clothes off ( bit weird ) and dance those nasty little [duck emoji] ers that are in your head the [duck emoji] out of it !!!’ (sic)

The mother-of-two ended her message by admitting she’s her worst critic, and explained why she’s substituted a swear word for a duck emoji.

The former soap star added: ‘Ahhhhhh thank you friend .. feel much better …..Ps as always say no one has ever been as nasty to me as ME ! Pps Try being your best friend in the world today

‘Pps I’m so tired of [duck emoji]coming up everytime I want to say F*** that from this day forth I will be using the [duck emoji] emoji whenever I want to say F*** !!! Ring a note for anyone else today ????? How’s your stinking thinking doing ????’ (sic)

Earlier this year, Nadia admitted she feels a sense of ‘survivor’s guilt’ as she overcame struggles with her mental health in the past.

Speaking to MailOnline, the thespian said: ‘It was very emotional to be back on the air. In fact I spent so much time yesterday on and off with tear. And I’m not a crier.

‘In recovery they talk about getting your feelings back – and it’s the best and worst thing!

‘I feel like that with all of this that’s going on, I’ve been sadder, happier, I’ve laughed like never before, and then I’ve found myself welling up. And that’s because of the comments we’ve received about being back on the air, even if for that one episode.

‘I think on Loose Women we tap into the pulse of how people are feeling. It’s very validating for us and for them.’
