Hear’Say ‘in talks for a reunion tour to mark 20th anniversary potentially WITHOUT Myleene Klass’

Hear’Say is reportedly in talks for a reunion tour to mark the 20th anniversary of winning ITV’s Popstars in 2001.

The group, originally made up of Kym Marsh, 44, Suzanne Shaw, 39, Noel Sullivan, 40, and Danny Foster, 41, are said to be planning the reform potentially without fifth member Myleene Klass, 42, as the ‘time isn’t right’ for her.

Myleene and Kym reportedly set up a WhatsApp group with the band in September with the fivesome meeting up in October.

A source told The Sun: ‘Right now, there’s a real demand for nostalgia and feel-good celebrity — and Hear’Say fit the bill.

‘The group exchanged a series of messages about a reunion, proposing a few tour dates and a couple of one-off TV appearances, as well as a possible ITV documentary.

‘But after much consideration, Myleene politely said that after a lot of thought she didn’t think the time was right for her.’

MailOnline has contacted Myleene, Kym, Suzanne, Noel and Danny’s representatives for comment.

Hear’Say formed on ITV show Popstars in 2001 and found success with their number one hit Pure and Simple.

The group were later joined by Johnny Shentall, 42, after Kym left the band in early 2002.

Hear’Say’s first album Popstars was a huge hit but their success quickly dwindled by the time they released their second album Everybody.

They split up in October 2002, less than two years after being put together on Popstars and cited ‘abuse from the public’ at the time as the primary reason behind the breakup.

Just last month, Myleene revealed she lived in ‘constant fear’ of who to trust when she was a member of the band.

Speaking on The W Word podcast, the Smooth radio host admitted the group constantly worried people around them would ‘sell stories’ on them and added that they had no money in the bank despite topping the charts.

A Hear’Say reunion could be on the cards, after former Corrie actress Kym said she’d be up for a reunion gig, saying in October 2019: ‘I’d love to do a one-off show, maybe just for Manchester Pride.’

Myleene echoed the sentiment in an interview with MailOnline where she told how her daughters Ava, 13, and Hero, nine, are desperate to see her perform on stage.

She said: ‘It’s funny because at the stage that I am now – my children don’t even realise that I was in a band, well Ava more so.

‘I’ve gone from no, never, it’s never going to happen to my children saying, “Go on, just do it! We want to be able to see you do all the dance moves”.

‘They want to see if I can still dance and remember the words which at the minute would be a miracle with baby brain! I can just about remember my car keys.’
