The Voice winner Chris Sebastian and wife Natashia splash out $950,000 on Sydney home

He bagged a whopping $100,000 cash prize after being crowned the winner of The Voice Australia back in July.

And Chris Sebastian has now splashed out $950,000 on a stunning four-bedroom, two-storey home in Sydney’s Padstow Heights.

The singer, 32, has already converted the adjoining granny flat into a recording studio and began remodelling the kitchen the day he got the keys. 

Chris told The Daily Telegraph that as soon as he won The Voice, he and his wife Natashia ‘decided that they needed to get into the market’.

‘We’d been looking for so long, I’ve visited realestate.com.au every day for three years.’

Speaking of relying on his skills to remodel the house, the star explained: ‘I did a bit of carpentry straight out of school – I learned from my father.

‘The plans are pretty grand. I hope we’re here for a long while,’ Chris continued.

He also revealed that he replaced and insulated the roofs, as well as added double-glazed windows.

The home was built in the 1970s and sits over 955 square feet.  

One of the abode’s key features is the ground level which opens up to an undercover deck which looks out to the swimming pool.

Chris has also taken up golf at the nearby suburb of Barden Ridge.

The singer won The Voice earlier this year, taking home the $100,000 cash prize and a recording contract.
