Trying to keep the group of civilians calm, Rick reassures them: ‘Don’t be afraid, the bombs are far away, you’ll be safe here.’

However their safety is short-lived, as Bjornsson’s Frank turns up with his gun-totting lackeys in tow to take the refugees with him.

Trying to persuade Frank against that course of action, Rick tells him: ‘They have nothing to do with this, they’re just innocent people.’

However the mercenary is unfazed by the remark, as he says: ‘In war no one is innocent, there are victors and losers, killers and casualties and I am your saviour.’

The trailer then breaks down into a series of action-packed scenes which see Mike fight off various mercenaries in war-torn landscapes.

Meanwhile Bjornsson is shown wielding guns against shadowy figures as he appears to fight Mike’s character amongst others.

The pair clearly have a past, though, as he’s seen in one scene urging Rick that they shouldn’t fight each other.

‘Wake up my friend, we have a mission. It’s all part of the plan,’ he tells Rick.

However Rick seems to be heading on the straight and narrow, as he hits back: ‘I’m not part of that plan anymore.’

Explosions and gun fights are shown in full swing, with Bjornsson – who played The Mountain in Game Of Thrones- putting his fighting skills to use.

Directed by Raouf Abd El Aziz, the film was originally released with the title Pharaoh’s War in Egypt in 2019, and is set to be released in the UK and US on video-on-demand in 2021.
