I’m A Celebrity‘s Kiosk Kev has paid tribute to camera operator Troy Gordon following news of his tragic death.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, Mark Herlaar, who plays the programme’s iconic Outback Shack runner, shared a photo of Troy in the jungle and alongside him in his famous kiosk.

In his post, Mark wrote: ‘Tribute to a great man TROY .. R.I.P brother loved your company and friendship was great knowing you and working with you

‘I’ll still be looking for your happy smile and great sense of humor .. Take your rest brother . And know you are truly missed .. much love from Tarzan (sic).’  

One photo saw Troy and Mark pretend to face off as they stared at each other with their arms crossed while in the show’s famous Kiosk, while the second saw Try smile and hold a thumbs up for the actor.

Troy joined I’m A Celebrity back in 2017 and worked on the show for three series as a camera operator in it’s Australian jungle set.

Unfortunately, because of the coronavirus crisis, Troy was unable to work on the latest series due to travel restrictions when it was relocated to Gwrych Castle in Wales.

Troy worked as a camera operator in Australia since 1985, and ran his own company called TRG Vision.

MailOnline has contacted I’m A Celebrity representatives for comment. 

Earlier this month, it was revealed I’m A Celebrity had become the most watched programme of 2020.

In a time when the nation was in the midst of a second lockdown, millions tuned into the first ever UK-based series, with 12.1 million viewers watching Giovanna Fletcher be crowned series champion.

This year’s I’m A Celebrity also brought in ITV’s biggest audience since 2018 with its launch episode in November, as over 14 million watched the celebrities move into Gwrych Castle.

The latest series of I’m A Celebrity came to a close with a peak of 12.1 million viewers turning into the final, averaging at 11.4 million, up 800,000 viewers on last year.

Following the inclusion of non-TV devices, the total number of viewers for the final reached 11.6 million.

I’m A Celebrity also saw a huge boost from young viewers, with an average of 2.8 million, and 66 per cent of 16-34 year-olds watching throughout the series.

In total this year’s series was the second most watched in I’m A Celebrity history, coming in behind the 2018 series.  

The series also began with a total of 14.3 million viewers once catch-up and non-TV devices were included, which is the biggest ever audience for a launch episode in the show’s history.

It’s also the most watched single show of the year excluding news specials, and brought in ITV’s biggest audience since the World Cup semi-final between England and Croatia in 2018.
