She captioned the photos ‘how to lose 7Ibs in 10 seconds’ as she shared the tweaks she’d made between the two snaps.

Vow: Holly Hagan has vowed to be ‘more transparent’ with photos posted on her Instagram account after ‘years of being scared to look anything but my best’, sharing two photos taken seconds apart on Thursday to demonstrate ‘the smoke and mirrors’ of social media

‘HOW TO LOSE 7LB IN 10 SECONDS! LOL just kidding,’ Holly wrote. ‘The left is me posed breathing in, hips tilted back and of course my knickers pulled as high as possible!’

‘The right is me relaxed, hips tilted forward and knickers in a more comfortable position.’

Holly went on to explain her 2021 resolution, telling her 3.8m followers; ‘This year I promised to try to be more transparent with my photos and content. I only EVER show posed pics. And tbh I haven’t enjoyed Instagram for a long time because I’m never ‘insta ready’.’

‘I love insta stories, I love Q&As I love giving content that either helps someone or means something. So I really need to bring that to the grid but I’d never had the confidence.’

‘I just wanted people to see me looking my best 100% of the time after fighting for years to not be ‘the fat one’ you’re kinda scared to look anything other than your best.’

Holly concluded her candid post by insisting that fans shouldn’t be influenced by social media stars and their ‘perfect’ bodies.

‘Nobody looks how they do on Instagram all of the time. We can’t pose breath in tilt hips 24 hours a day. So when you see someone on insta who you’re envious of remember it’s all smoke and mirrors.’

Over on her Stories, Holly also explained how she ‘hates’ Instagram grid photos ‘because I have to spend three hours getting ready for the Gram to post one picture.’

Earlier this month Holly revealed how her fiancé Jacob Blyth helped her overcome her eating disorder and change her approach to health.

Speaking to new! Magazine about her new fitness platform, the Geordie Shore beauty, 28, admitted she was battling demons when they first met.

She said: ‘I was still struggling with bulimia when I met him and he was the one who made me see that what I was doing wasn’t normal. I’d never questioned it or looked at it in a bad way, so him teaching me that made me stop doing it straight away.’

Holly shot to fame at just 18 in the inaugural series of Geordie Shore in 2011, where she was cruelly bullied by fellow cast members and also viciously trolled.

Despite going on to win the hearts of both her fans and peers, her mental health recovery was far more trying as she battled to overcome her body issues.

After a number of public romances, she has now found happiness in Jacob.

Jacob proposed during a sunset dinner date at the chic Cotton Beach Club in Ibiza on their second anniversary in June 2019, and they were planning to start planning their wedding in Ibiza last year however coronavirus stopped the plan.

Holly explained: ‘My fiancé Jacob is an athlete, so his lifestyle is very healthy. He was a good influence on me. I was still struggling with bulimia when I met him and he was the one who made me see that what I was doing wasn’t normal….

‘I’d never questioned it or looked at it in a bad way, so him teaching me that made me stop doing it pretty much straight away.’

On her well-documented struggles with her mental health, she went on: ‘I still get social anxiety but I haven’t had a panic attack in about 4.5 years.’

She took to Instagram to share cruel comments from trolls, who claimed she ‘looked better chunky’, before quoting Britney Spears‘ 2007 hit Piece Of Me: ‘You can’t win. Britney said it: “I’m Mrs she’s too big, now she’s too thin”‘.

Holly shared a stunning snap in which she donned a sporty lilac two-piece, however the picture was met with outrage from some of her Facebook followers.

Two followers penned: ‘Looked better as chunky. I think so too, not that it’s a bad thing she’s not.’

She added a caption over the top reading: ‘Facebook has the weirdest people. You can’t win. Britney said it: “I’m Mrs she’s too big, now she’s too thin”…

‘All we can do in this life is live for us and not do things for the approval of others. Because someone is always going to have something negative to say regardless.’
