Seinfeld was referring to his appearance on CNN’s Larry King Live back in 2007 as he was promoting animated-film Bee Movie.

Larry asked about his iconic ’90s sitcom Seinfeld: ‘You gave it up, right? They didn’t cancel you? You canceled them.’

Jerry looked befuddled by the question as he responded: ‘You’re not aware of this? You think I got canceled? You’re under the impression I got canceled? I thought that was pretty well documented. Is this still CNN?’

King responded: ‘Have I hurt you, Jerry?’

NBC had famously begged the comedian for another season even offering him as much as $5million an episode to come back but he turned it down so he could go out on top.

Seinfeld continued: ‘I went off the air, I was the number-one show on television, Larry. Do you know who I am? Seventy-five million viewers [for] the last episode.’

King joked: ‘Jewish guy. Brooklyn.’

King was reportedly transferred out of the ICU on Jan. 4, but had remained in hospital for treatment.

A source told NBC that King may have contracted coronavirus through a healthcare worker at his home. One of his sons, who has not been named, has also tested positive, they said.

King suffered numerous health issues in the past, including a heart attack, prostate and lung cancer, a stroke and type two diabetes.
