The 24-year-old actress made the revelation during a remote appearance on Late Night With Stephe Colbert while looking stylish in a black top with hoop earrings and softly curled hair.

Stephen, 56, asked Zendaya if she was as excited as Dune fans such as himself for the upcoming sci-fi film by director Denis Villeneuve, 53.

‘I have become a Dune nerd, for sure. I’m very, very excited. I feel so lucky, incredibly lucky to be a part of it. It’s such a beautiful thing and I’m geeking out like everyone else. I can’t wait to see it and I can’t wait for people to see it. It’s special,’ Zendaya said.

Stephen then asked what was her favorite part of working on the star-studded film.

‘Everyone is so lovely. Timothy has become one of my closest friends and he’s lovely and so talented,’ Zendaya said of her co-star Timothée Chalamet, 25.

‘I think my favorite part was when we would have these dance parties in my room, where I would leave the door open, and Timothy would come in with his little speaker and everybody would start coming in and then we’d just start dancing,’ Zendaya said.

Stephen guessed that Javier Bardem, 51, was the best dancer among the cast.

‘Listen, he peaked in and he was grooving. I was like, ”Okay, Javier”. He had the moves. I was very impressed. I was very impressed,’ Zendaya said.

The upcoming Dune movie is an adaptation of the 1965 novel of the same name by Frank Herbert and the ensemble cast also includes Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Stephen McKinley Henderson, David Dastmalchian, Chang Chen, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Charlotte Rampling and Jason Momoa.

‘There were some weird ideas that got bounced around, one was a psychological thriller where I think I’m still on Disney Channel, which I might save for later. I thought it might be for fun when I’m 40,’ the former Disney Channel star quipped.

She said the crew on Malcolm & Marie also got a back-end financial deal with points on the movie.

‘So we all kind of own this thing together, which is really, really special,’ Zendaya said.
