The Voice: Keith Urban reveals two judges who can’t stand each other

The Voice star Keith Urban reveals which two famous talent show judges can’t stand each other

Keith Urban is returning for the upcoming season of The Voice Australia alongside Jessica Mauboy, Rita Ora and Guy Sebastian.

And while the country crooner insists they’re all getting along swimmingly, he hasn’t always had the best luck when it comes to judging panels.

Speaking on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Friday, the 53-year-old said Nikki Minaj and Mariah Carey didn’t like each other when he was working on American Idol.

‘My first experience with The Voice was Seal and Delta [Goodrem] and Joel [Madden] and I got on with everybody,’ he said.

‘I went from that first season over to doing Idol in the States and sitting between Mariah and Nikki, and it was quite the contrast.’

Radio host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson asked him: ‘They didn’t like each other, did they?’

Keith nodded in agreement, then steered the conversation back to the new coaching panel on The Voice Australia.

He confirmed they got along well, but hinted they still needed more time to bond.

‘Give it time, right now it’s all kumbaya, but you know what it’s like,’ he said.

Blind auditions are reportedly being taped at Carriageworks, Eveleigh, right next to Seven’s headquarters.

The new season of The Voice will air on Seven this year, after the network bought the rights away from Channel Nine.

The talent show doesn’t yet have a premiere date.
