Handsome pilot Jimmy Nicholson, 31, is announced as the new Bachelor

Pilot Jimmy Nicholson has been announced as the new Bachelor for the 2021 season of the popular Channel Ten dating show.

According to Sydney Confidential, the 31-year-old decided to sign up for the dating series after he was stood down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The publication claims that the hunky Bachelor began filming for the series this week. 

‘I feel very fortunate to be the Bachelor 2021. I am ready to open up my heart and meet someone,’ he told the publication. 

‘I hope to meet someone with similar values that I can have fun with and that shares the same zest for life as myself. The Bachelor franchise has produced many success stories and I hope to be the next.’ 

According to the publication Jimmy has found it difficult to find The One, because his job often meant that he was ‘never in the same spot for too long’. 

The eligible bachelor is of New Zealand and Fijian heritage, and has not appeared in any previous Bachelor franchises.
