Shelley Craft wears a corset while Scott Cam rides a white horse as they The Block promo

The Block is shaping up to be a very colourful season this year.

On Sunday, longtime hosts Scott Cam, 58, and Shelley Craft, 44, were spotted filming a flamboyant, cowboy-themed promo video as production kicked off in Melbourne‘s south-east.

Joined by this season’s contestants, the presenters were spotted wearing full 18th century costume as they channelled the Wild West.

Howdy partners! Shelley Craft, 44, showed off her waist in a corset while filming a cowboy-themed trailer for The Block in Melbourne on Sunday

Shelley showed off her waist in a black-and-red striped corset, which she teamed with a tiered, saloon-style skirt with fringed edges.

The glamorous interior design expert completed her look with heeled cowboy boots, lace fingerless gloves, a choker necklace and a feather headpiece.

Her blonde hair was swept into a neatly curled ponytail, and her age-defying complexion was enhanced with peach blush, silver eyeshadow, pink lipstick and a set of false lashes.

As she arrived on set, Shelley was quickly swarmed by production assistants and makeup artists.

Meanwhile, Scott was busy preparing for his big scene, which involved riding a white horse down the middle of the set.

Like Shelley, Scott was dressed to the nines in period attire, sporting a brown cowboy hat, leather vest, riding gloves, a billowing shirt and blue jeans.

He also slipped on a pair of leather riding boots and tied a grey bandana around his neck – but forgot to remove his modern wristwatch.

There were several other familiar faces spotted in the crowd on Sunday.

Fan favourites Ronnie and Georgia, as well as Mitch and Mark, were seen mingling in Western outfits, confirming The Block will welcome previous contestants this year.

Love Island Australia twins Luke and Josh were also spotted filming scenes in matching cowboy outfits.

The Block’s 2021 season will be filmed in Hampton, in Melbourne’s south-east, after Nine spent $3million on five homes in a quiet cul-de-sac, Bronte Court.

The reality show is reportedly set to introduce the biggest twist ever seen in its 17-year history this year, as an insider has claimed house and partner-swapping gimmicks will be included for the first time.

‘This will freak them all out and it will happen early in the series so that the Blockheads don’t spit the dummy regarding the amount of work they have done and the end result isn’t too affected,’ a New Idea insider claimed in November.

The publication hinted that producers were toying with the idea of having teammates switch places halfway through the renovations, while house-swapping was already locked in.

‘The Block has been going on for so long. Not only is it about time it had a bit of a shake-up, but producers are fully aware that things need to change if they want the show to continue as a ratings hit,’ the source added.

The Block has won six Logies for Most Popular Reality Program, while host Scott won the Gold Logie in 2014.
