Catherine Zeta-Jones has revealed that her ‘beautiful cousin’ Gemma has died.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday night, the Welsh actress, 51, paid tribute to her ‘extraordinary’ cousin in an emotional post after she passed away on 13 February.
Catherine posted a picture of Gemma alongside a moving photo of a light which had the caption: ‘Gemma 1983-2021’ followed by a heart emoji.

The actress revealed that Gemma would be taking her ‘final resting place’ on Thursday as she encouraged her followers to ‘leave a light on’ in her memory.
Catherine penned: ‘On February 13th my beautiful cousin Gemma left us in this world. She was truly a “Gem” to us all and she was truly an extraordinary mother to her five children.
‘Tomorrow she will take her final resting place. Join my family and I and leave a light on for Gemma tonight.’
Catherine’s 3.6million followers were quick to send their love and condolences to the star over her loss.

It’s been an emotional few months for Catherine after the star mourned the loss of her father-in-law, Kirk Douglas, who died at age 103 on February 5 2020.
The actress – who has been married to the ‘Spartacus’ star’s son Michael Douglas since 2000 – said she will love Kirk for the ‘rest of [her] life’.
She wrote on Instagram at the time: ‘To my darling Kirk, I shall love you for the rest of my life. I miss you already. Sleep tight… (sic)’

Kirk, who died on February 5, 2020, had two sons, Michael and Joel, 74, with his first wife Diana Dill before divorcing in 1951.
Kirk’s eldest son Michael, 76, married Catherine, 51, who is exactly 25 years younger than him, back in 2000.
The couple announced their engagement in December 1999 before marrying at New York’s Plaza Hotel, after Michael finalised his divorce from first wife Diandra Luker.
Michael and Catherine, who marked their 20th anniversary last year, have two children together – son Dylan 20, and daughter Carys, 17.
