Larry David gets soaked in rain as he films scene for season 11 of HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm in LA

Larry David has been enjoying some quality time with his new wife Ashley Underwood, after tying the knot in October.

And the three-time Golden Globe nominee has since returned to work on his long-running HBO improvised comedy.

He got soaked in an unexpected downpour Wednesday, as he was spotted filming a scene for season 11 of Curb Your Enthusiasm on the streets of Los Angeles.

The 73-year-old held a dress in a plastic garment bag over his head, attempting to shield himself from the sudden precipitation.

He put on his signature scowl, as he ended up with the bag hanging draped over his face and the wet dress in his hand.

David has starred in the show as a fictionalized version of himself since it premiered in 2000 and was brought back for a long overdue ninth season in 2017.

Writer/producer Jeff Schaffer has said that the upcoming 11th season will take place after the COVID-19 pandemic.

He told The Hollywood Reporter in December: ‘We had to make the decision about what era we were writing — before, during or after COVID — and the real factor was when we would be premiering.

‘We figured we would be coming out in the fall of 2021 and we didn’t want what we were writing in March of 2020 to be so timely that it would feel dated more than a year later.’

The League creator clarified: ‘COVID definitely happened and we definitely talk about it… And Larry [the character] has opinions on all of it.

‘I can’t tell you which characters got COVID, but I can definitely tell you that we do examine peoples’ behavior during the COVID era.’

David returned to set in November, one month after he got married to Underwood, whom he met at Sacha Baron Cohen’s birthday party in 2017.

He recalled being fixed up by Cohen and wife Isla Fisher, telling The New York Times last April: ‘We were seated next to each other, I think with that in mind.

‘Much to her surprise I left before dessert. I was doing so well, banter-wise, I didn’t want to risk staying too long and blowing the good impression.’

The Seinfeld co-creator was previously married to Laurie David, 62, from 1993 to 2007, and they share daughters Cazzie, 26, and Romy, 25.
