But Danniella Westbrook has been revitalised by her move to a new home after relocating to Wales from her native Essex.
‘Life’s good,’ the former EastEnders actress, 47, told fans from the serene hillside on Friday in a snap she posed on social media.

Danniella has been passing her time exercising and focusing on her mental health.
‘Still smashing the running… I have dealt with my demons and I’m out and living,’ she told fans online alongside footage of her jogging.
A source told The Sun: ‘It’s a far cry from her ’90s partying but it seems she might have found balance.’

The soap star battled a cocaine addiction, starting in her 20s, which caused her nasal septum to completely rot away.
At the height of her drug abuse, it was reported she had taken up to five grams of cocaine a day during her first pregnancy, blowing close to £250,000 on the drug in total.
She relapsed in 2014 after 14 years of sobriety, but has now ditched drink and drugs and celebrated 19 months of sobriety in September 2019.

Taking over her Instagram, the actress’ management said in a statement: ‘Danniella needs time to breathe, we are all only human and deserve to deal with problems without continuous outside opinions.’
They told the MailOnline: ‘Danniella has always enjoyed the country side, which is why she’s back permanently as its what’s best to continue on the road of recovery.
‘Doing her meditation, herbal life, keeping fit and focusing on the future.
‘She is becoming more mentally and physically stronger each day as she breathes the fresh welsh air.
‘The welsh have welcomed her and she’s happy there. As they say a little bit of country life if good for the soul.’
The escape to the countryside comes after Danniella recently became embroiled in a vicious social media spat with her ex-boyfriend Brian Harvey.
Danniella branded Brian a ‘paranoid coke freak’ after she said he accused her of being a ‘murderer’ and introducing him to a ‘paedophile gang’.
Brian Harvey claimed the police called to his house on Monday morning after he slammed Danniella in an expletive-filled rant.
The East 17 star claimed he was a ‘dead man walking’, as he alleged his ex-girlfriend had introduced him to paedophiles at a club and that he had been targeted ever since.
Danniella, who dated Brian from 1991-1995, then took to Instagram on Sunday after Brian posted the bizarre YouTube video claiming his life was in danger and that Secret Services were following him.
She said: ‘I’m fuming with him. What a d***head. I’m just going to address Brian Harvey slandering the s**t out of me. Saying I’m a murderer, stuff like that. Saying I set him up with a paedophile ring. Calling me a groomer. He’s mad.’

Danniella continued: ‘He’s having a bipolar meltdown. And I feel for him I do. And I have championed Brian. He’s on YouTube live now. I won’t calm down. Sorry the geezer is f*****g crazy,’
‘Mate I was abused all my life in this industry, you wasn’t Brian. You’re one of the lucky ones son, so why you’re sitting locked in your f**king house with bars on your windows I don’t know.
‘I’m just a woman who is trying to do the right thing and putting her past behind her and addiction behind her,’ she said.
