Just over 27 years after Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain committed suicide, Kid Cudi honored the singer in a unique way on Saturday Night Live.

Cobain committed suicide 27 years ago last week, with the 37-year-old Cudi (real name Scott Mescudi) paying tribute to his legacy by wearing a floral print dress, similar to the one Cobain used to wear on stage.

Cudi also explained on social media Sunday that Virgil Abloh designed the dress for him, and it will be part of a collection he’s collaborating on with Off-White.

Cudi’s first song was Tequila Shots, where he also paid tribute to both Cobain and late comedian and former SNL star Chris Farley.

The singer wore an olive green cardigan, similar to the one Cobain wore during his iconic 1993 performance on MTV’s Unplugged.

Under the sweater he rocked a t-shirt featuring the beloved Chris Farley, who passed away from a drug overdose in 1997 at just 33 years of age.
